I set off on a documentary adventure last week with Director Brandon McCormick of Whitestone Motion Pictures to document a group of college students who loaded onto school buses in Gwinnett, an Atlanta suburb, and road into the city to gather at the capitol and join in lobbying against child sex-trafficking. Students joined with lobbyist from "A future. Not a Past." to lobby for senate bill 69 which would amend title 19 by revising a paragraph relating to 'sexual exploitation' and the reporting of child abuse. Title 19 as it stands allows 'sexual exploitation' to be considered child abuse only if conducted by a child's parent or caretaker. Senate bill 69 would amend the clause "child's parent or caretaker" and replace it with the phrase "any person".
Thought I would pass along a few Color out-takes as well... It was a beautiful, cold, windy day.
