Fotos mas Grande

I guess that it's time I jump on the "big photos on blog" bandwagon.

I found this old treasure today when I logged into Flickr for the first time in a few years. I realized that I had created a Flickr site after my trip along El Camino De Santiago in the summer of 2006. WOW I can't believe its been that long since I was walking through the beauty that is the northern mountains of Spain. (P.S. I'm glad to know my photography has come a long way since then! sometimes its refreshing to take a step back and see how far you've come in such a short time)

This photo was taken along El Camino de Santiago somewhere in Basque Country between Ribadeo and Santiago de Compostela

Gainesville Desaturated

So I had the great opportunity a few weeks ago to return to Gainesville for a freelance job for Tutoring Zone. My mission.. Photograph Gainesville in its entirety...desaturate then saturate some more. These are just a few from my edit. It was so great to return to my old stomping grounds and photograph so many places that brought so many great times through college. For those still in Gainesville, keep your eyes peeled to the walls of tutoring zone for more!

These last two are personal favorites with lots of unforgettable Memories great times..;)

The Daylights

While I was in Florida I shot The Daylights on tour with One Republic during there St. Petersburg stop. It was so refreshing to meet up with an old ATL friend and make some new L.A. Friends! I can't wait to get out there in March and shot it up;) Hope you enjoy!

BTW. This show is amazing. All the bands included are so talented. They are touring through march so get out and see them!

One Republic

There has been a lot of change in my life lately, and a lot of reflection on what I want my career in photography to amount to. While I was in Florida a week ago I shot The Daylights show on tour with One Republic. When I got back to look through my images I realized that my emotion of taking a step back transfered into the way I saw that night. Here's one photo of One Republic that shadows my mind set of stepping back and putting things into perspective.

The results for round 2 finally came in today and both entries from UF placed in the top 10 nation wide. YAY! My entry took 7th along with Jarrett Baker who placed 8th. Congrats Buddy.

Brookwood’s Jamey Chapman, left, and Shauini Ghodadra collide in the outfield during the 7th inning of the lady Broncos softball game against the Grayson lady Rams at Brookwood. After falling to the ground, both players stood up, took a moment, then continued to finish playing the game. Brookwood wins 5-3.

Illuminated blue by police lights, Investigator Bozeman (left) and Gwinnett County Police Sgt. Higginbotham examine the scene of a four-car collision which left one 16-year-old boy dead, injured four and closed down Sugarloaf Parkway at Old Norcross Road for many hours. Police are investigating street racing as the cause of the accident. Gwinnett County Police report this accident as the second fatal crash possibly involving street racing in the last month.

Sandra Sundberg and her husband Don, once friends of murder victim Manny Taboada, react in celebration after seeing the hearse carrying the body of Gainesville's serial killer Danny Rolling leave the Florida State Prision 16 years after the murders happened. Students at the time, Sundberg and Taboada had once dated.

P.S. career update: I'm currently freelancing in Atlanta. Spending time working with a production company on social documentaries where I'm shooting both still and video along with heading up another Through Their Eyes event.

The unseen boys of Flurish and RLA

One thing I've realized about live shows in ATL is that there is very little light on the drummers and the guitar guys. They only seem to light the leads, who would have thought. So, I used every opportunity while photographing at Star Bar this weekend to make some photos of the guys less scene. A little artzy photo and then the bright faces behind the darkness, finally. 50mm strong

The Start of My Band Week-Tentonic

This week I've taken a little photographical redirection and have side stepped back to my beginning roots as a band photographer. Nothing like starting my freelance career in a dark bar with bad light and a 50mm lens.
